Pastor David Shaffer is one of the founding voices behind YourChange™. He has been joyfully married to Rose Shaffer for 32 years, and together they have two sons, David and Dylan, a wonderful daughter-in-law Claire (whom they lovingly consider their daughter), and their beloved pup, Autumn Noel. Over 30 years ago, Pastor David and Rose were part of the original team that planted Victory Church in Boca Raton, Florida. To this day, he continues to serve as a pastor and elder, helping to lead the church he helped build from the ground up.

Before entering full-time ministry, Pastor David spent more than a decade in the restaurant industry with General Mills, where he worked his way up from waiter and prep cook to corporate trainer and eventually into management operations with the Olive Garden concept. He later transitioned into the corporate world as Director of Sales & Marketing for two companies, a role
he held for over 10 years.

Though he’s traveled extensively and worn many hats, Pastor David’s greatest joy is found in serving others, especially families. His heart beats for creating simple ways for ordinary people to make an extraordinary impact. He believes generosity is the true currency of love, and that kind of love can change the world one round-up at a time.

Mike is one of the founders of YourChange™. He is deeply passionate about user experience, operations, and scaling organizations to their fullest potential.

Mike has built his professional experience and knowledge working with companies like Apple, Darden, and JP Morgan Chase. Currently, Mike is the CEO of Urban Solar, a company he founded in 2014 and built beyond 300 employees and contractors. Mike also serves on the Board of Directors for Victory Church in Boca Raton.

Mike and his wife have been married for over 11 years and have four children. They are faithful believers and enjoy serving their church. They also enjoy family vacations to Disney and The Key’s, playing tennis, doing CrossFit, and relaxing as a family.

Ryan is one of the founders of YourChange™. He believes that charity is most effective when done at the local level, by passionate supporters and administrators that are connected, and serving, and working towards the same goal.

Ryan and his wife Lauren have been married for 15 years and they have 4 children. Ryan and Lauren have witnessed God’s unfailing love and provision in their lives during times when it didn’t seem like they would have enough to make it through the end of the month. Each time they trusted in God, stretched their faith, and allowed Him to provide where it seemed to be impossible, something miraculous would happen and their needs were met. At one pivotal season in their lives, they took a huge leap of faith to both leave the “security” of corporate paychecks, make sacrifices for their future and invest where it matters most, their growing family. It did not come easy for Ryan who was apprehensive about continuing to support the charities and churches they had been supporting at the same level when the budget numbers didn’t “add up” or make logical sense. His wife Lauren challenged him to have a generous heart, change his mindset from logical to loving, and trust that God would bless what they prayerfully felt called to do. That’s when the flood gates opened and they witnessed that you can’t out give God!

Ryan passionately believes it is better to give than to receive and that God blesses you based on the condition of your heart and mind, not on “what man sees” or the “specific amount” you give. There is always someone less fortunate than you and you can make a difference in their lives. Your heart and desire to help others is what truly matters. When you open your hands to share what He has entrusted you with, He can multiply it just like a seed planted can reap a field of harvest. It gives God something to fill back up, pressed down, shaken together and running over!

Ryan is excited to be a part of YourChange as it is a vessel that helps connect and change the hearts and circumstances of people all over the world on BOTH sides of generosity!
